You can’t help but get drawn into the food on offer at The Clifton. Produced fresh using the finest ingredients catering for all tastes and appetites all served out of our small yet perfectly formed open kitchen!! The Clifton’s big eats feature the awesome homemade burgers - 8oz or 10oz depending just how hungry you are - with toppings including salsa, chorizo, guacamole, goats cheese and onion chutney. The staff's favourite are the lush pies - the steak & ale pie with mash and seasonal veg, or if you're just after a snack, the mini pies with HP sauce! Vegetarian? No worries - the spinach and lentil burger will blow your skirt up (or shorts) and there’s a tuscan bean cake too! Should you be after something a tad lighter then we have an impressive bank of snacks and sharers for you to munch on your tod or nibble with your mates.

Sundays are really big at The Clifton with roast rump of beef, half a roast chicken, roast loin of pork and nut roast on offer, all served with all the trimmings including yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, seasonal veg, and our delicious red onion & red wine gravy! Arrive early to avoid disappointment, and come relaxed as food can sometimes be a while due to our massive popularity.

Oh, and we can do a bespoke buffet for private parties too, just pop in and we’ll see how best we can cater for you!

Our drinks range packs a serious punch. We have 5 lagers on tap (soon to become 7 - it's like they're breeding in the cellar!) with the most popular being Staropramen, Peroni and the staff's favourite, Paulaner – a cracking premium brew from Munich.  Then there’s Leffe, Erdinger Weisse (soon to be replaced with Franziskaner, 'cos frankly we think it's better!), and Fruli should you fancy something a little different. By way of real ale, we have 3 lines all of which rotate - some more often than others. Our favourite at the moment is the Adnams brews which have been made especially for a select few pubs accross the country. Each month there's a different type of beer available - we've had the Adnams Kolsch, which went down a storm, then the Adnams Abbey, and the Adnams Hefeweizen (Wheat), and soon it's on to the Adnams Meantime IPA. February brings us a Belgian Witbier, and in time for Paddy's Day there'll be an Irish Dry Stout!

Then, seeing as we’re in the West Country 'n' all, the home of the Wurzels, dungarees, hay bales and so on, its only right that we offer you 5 different draught ciders, including Addlestones, our favourite Hogan's, and a cheeky little pear number dropped in there for fun! Not to mention the 9 bottled varieties of cider we have too. So go on, fill your boots. Responsibly of course (a decent range of soft drinks also available for those not wanting alcoholic beverages)!!
