You can’t help but get drawn into the food on offer at The Clifton. Produced fresh using the finest ingredients catering for all tastes and appetites all served out of our small yet perfectly formed open kitchen!! The Clifton’s big eats feature the awesome homemade burgers - 8oz or 10oz depending just how hungry you are - with toppings including salsa, guacamole, serrano ham, and camembert. The staff's favourite is the homemade lamb burger with tzatziki. Vegetarian? No worries - the spinach and lentil burger will blow your skirt up (or shorts), available with mozzarella and red pepper! Should you be after something a tad lighter then we have an impressive bank of snacks and sharers for you to munch on your tod or with mates. We also have a selection of daily specialsm so you'll just have to pop in and see what's available today!
Sundays are really big at The Clifton with roast rump of beef, half a roast chicken, roast loin of pork and nut roast on offer, served with all the trimmings including yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, seasonal veg, and our delicious red onion & red wine gravy! Arrive early to avoid disappointment, and come relaxed as food can sometimes be a while due to our massive popularity.
Oh, and we can do a bespoke buffet for private parties too, just pop in and we’ll see how best we can cater for you!

Our drinks range packs a serious punch. We have 7 lagers on tap with the most popular being Peroni, Red Stripe, and the staff's favourite, Paulaner – a cracking premium brew from Munich. Then there’s Leffe, Franziskaner, and Fruli should you fancy something a little different. By way of real ale, we have 3 lines all of which rotate - some more often than others. Our favourite at the moment is Sharp's Doom Bar, with St. Austell's Tribute coming in a close second. If there are any beers you would really like to see here, just let us know and we will try to find them!
Our newest additions to our bottled range include Cusquena - a refreshing lager from Peru - and Sierra Nevada, a sparkling Pale Ale from California. Many of us who aren't normally ale fans quite enjoy the Sierra Nevada as it's a little sweeter than most, and served chilled from the fridges...it may be £4 a bottle, but we think it's worth it!!
Summer's here, so that makes it Pimm's o'clock, or for something slightly different, try our "Ultimate G&T" made with Hendrick's gin, garnished with cucumber - mmm refreshing!!
